Reflections on the Center for Cultural Leadership – 25th Anniversary Summit

This Saturday I had the privilege of attending the Center for Cultural Leadership’s 25th Anniversary Celebration at the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront. It was a full day of teaching, fellowship, and cultural vision—exactly the kind of gathering Christians in the Bay Area need. Dr. Andrew Sandlin invited me again this year, and I’ve been attending since 2018.

The theme running through the entire event was simple and profound:
There is no Christian culture without Christian foundations.
No Christian culture without the Christian mind (Joseph Boot).
No Christian culture without Christian law (Jeffrey Ventrella).
No Christian culture without the Church (Brian Mattson).
No Christian culture without Christian faith (P. Andrew Sandlin).
No Christian culture without Christian vocation (David Bahnsen).
No Christian culture without Christian economics (Jerry Bowyer).

Each speaker approached cultural renewal from a different angle, yet all pointed to the same truth: Christian culture is the fruit of Christian discipleship. We cannot expect to shape our world if we have not first shaped our minds, hearts, and communities around the lordship of Christ.
