Western Seminary has gifted us the library from their former San Jose campus. I’m very excited to have acquired over 3,000 books plus book carts and double-sided shelving.
Setting up our small theological library will be an exciting project.
Here are some steps that come to my mind as I am working through the process to make the books available for our community:

Studying my own ancestral origins has always been a fascinating endeavor. While both of my parents’ birth certificates indicate “white” as their ethnicity, their individual family trees are a bit more complicated.
My mother, with her name Thora, carries a strong connection to her Swedish heritage. My father’s identity has been shaped by his Mexican heritage, evident in his dark complexion. As a presbyter (priest) in the Reformed Episcopal Church, I am also a voting member of the General Council. I recently had the privilege of attending the 57th General Council in historic Charleston, South Carolina. At the gym we go to, the workouts are categorized into Endurance (longer cardio, more but lighter reps), Power (short bursts like sprints and plyometric exercises), and Strength (inclined runs, heavier weights). This categorization adds variety to our routine and gives some muscles rest days while cycling through different parts of the body. Some days are ESP and combine a bit of each.
I use a similar approach in my classroom teaching. New material is introduced on strength days (chunks of new reading, example problems worked together, new visuals or songs)....
