How Orthodox Anglicanism is an Ancient and Patristic Faith
Did Anglicanism begin with Henry VIII? How did Christianity get to the British Isles? What is Celtic Christianity?
For the Feast of George, (Patron Saint of England) I offered a live stream the Holy Communion service according to the First English Book of Common Prayer published in 1549. (Link here)
Following the service, I also gave a lecture entitled, “The English Church Before it was Roman” outlining the distinct Celtic origins of Christianity in the British Isles and the Reformation’s goal to return to the faith the undivided Church of the Ecumenical Councils. A view of Church history that describes the conciliar goals of the English Reformation with the historic authenticity of an Apostolic, Orthodox Anglicanism.
